Paneer butter masala
Healthy cooking always leads to happy eating. Here is the possibly healthy version of paneer butter masala!!
Ingredients
Paneer/ Cottage cheese- 1 cup
Butter- 1 tbsp
Oil- 1 tsp
Onion- 1 large
Tomato- 2
Ginger garlic paste- 1 tsp
Cumin seeds- 1 tsp
Red chilli powder-1 tsp
Coriander powder- 1/2 tsp
Garam masala- 1/2 tsp
Dried fenugreek leaves- 2 tsp
Coriander leaves- few
Cream- 2 tbsp
Water- 1/4 cup
Salt as needed
Method
- In a pan, add the oil and once oil is hot, add in the finely chopped onions and saute well till onions become translucent.
- Now, add the finely chopped tomatoes and cumin and saute until it turns mushy. Let this mixture cool completely and make into a fine puree.
- Add a little bit of oil to the pan, add the ginger garlic paste and saute till the raw smell is off.
- Then add the spice powders, salt and give a mix. Now, add in the puree and combine well into the spices.
- Cover and cook for 10 minutes in medium flame till the oil oozes out. Check for salt and seasoning.
- Add the water and paneer. Cover and cook for 2 minutes. Add the cream and mix well.
- Once cream is added, turn off the flame and put in the dry crushed fenugreek leaves and garnish with coriander leaves.
