Mutton keema curry

Ingredients

Minced mutton 250 grams
Ginger 1 inch crushed
Garlic 3 pods crushed
Onion 1 medium sized
Tomato 1 chopped
Curry leaves 1 sprig
Coriander leaves to garnish
Cumin powder 1 tsp
Chilli powder 1 tsp
Coriander powder 2 tsp
Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
Salt as needed
Coconut milk 1 cup

Method

  1. In a pressure pan add 2 tsps of oil and heat.
  2. Once heated up put in the crushed ginger and garlic and sauté.
  3. Then add in the finely chopped onions and curry leaves and sauté till it becomes translucent.
  4. Now throw in the tomato and sauté for 2 minutes.
  5. At this point add in the minced mutton called keema and toss well till the color changes.
  6. Then add the turmeric powder and salt and mix well till the meat oozes out water.
  7. Then add the spice powders and give a good stir and pressure cook for 8 whistles.
  8. Once the meat is cooked add in coconut milk and put in the stove for 2 mins and turn off.
  9. Garnish with coriander leaves.
This recipe is a good combination with idli, dosa, chapathi, rotis and parathas.
