Spicy chicken roast
This chicken roast is super simple and is a tastes fabulous with hot rasam and rice. This is made with minimal ingredients. Your kids will go crazy!!
Ingredients
Boneless chicken- 1/2 kg
Onion- 1/2
Ginger garlic paste- 1 tbsp
Curry leaves-1 sprig
Spices: Chilli powder- 1 tsp, Garam masala- 1/2 tsp, Turmeric powder- 1/2 tsp, Fresh ground pepper- 1 tbsp, crushed fennel- 1/2 tsp
Green chilli- 1 slit
Coriander leaves
Oil- 1 tsp
Cinnamon- 1 inch
Water- 1/4 cup
Salt
Method
- Heat oil in a pan and once it splutters, add in cinnamon, curry leaves, green chilli, onion and saute till brown. Then put in the ginger garlic paste and saute for 5 minutes at medium flame.
- Now add the chicken chunks and saute till the colour changes.
- Add in the salt, chilli powder, turmeric powder and mix well.
- Add water and cook the chicken well with lid on.
- Once done, add in pepper powder, garam masala and crushed fennel and mix well.
- Lid on, cook another 5 minutes till the water is dried.
- Garnish with coriander leaves.
