Milagu rasam
Ingredients
Tamarind extract- from lemon sized
Pepper corns- 1 tsp
Garlic- 1 clove
Green chilly- 1
Tomato- 1
Hing- a pinch
Cumin seeds- 1 tsp
Turmeric powder- 1 tsp
Oil- 1 tbsp
Salt
Coriander leaves
Method
- Grind the pepper corns, green chilly, cumin seeds, garlic and tomato (1/2) in a mixer as a paste.
- Make rasam mixture in a bowl taking the tamarind extract and mix it with the prepared paste, turmeric powder, hing and stir well.
- In a pan, add 1 tbsp oil and once it heats, add mustard seeds, urad dhal, curry leaves, remaining tomato pieces and the rasam mix.
- Add salt and required water as per the needed consistency and wait till it boils.
- Once it starts boiling, add coriander leaves and turn off the flame.
