Adai Dosa


Ingredients
Channa dhal- 1 cup
Idli rice- 1/2 cup
Urad dhal- 1/4 cup
Coconut- 1 tbsp
Green chillies- 2
Red chillies- 2
Ginger- 1 inch
Garilic- 1 clove
Hing- 1/2 tsp
Curry leaves- few(chopped)
Coriander leaves- few(chopped)
Carrot- 2 tsp (grated)
Onion- finely chopped
Turmeric powder- pinch
Egg- 1
Salt

Method

  • Soak Channa dhal, rice, urad dhal overnight.
  • For making the batter, grind the soaked things with green chillies, red chillies, ginger, garlic and coconut adding water little by little.
  • The batter should be a little thicker than the usual dosa consistency.
  • Add the chopped onions, grated carrot, coriander leaves, curry leaves, salt, turmeric powder, hing and mix well.
  • Then add a egg and mix thoroughly with the batter.
  • Keep a dosa pan and spread the batter evenly over it and rise the flame to high and the adai dosa takes a little extra time to cook than the ordinary dosa.
  • Flip over to the next side and cook till you can see the brown shades in dosa.
  • Serve hot with coconut chutney.
